Leonard unconsciously said, "You can't order this. Yasmin is allergic to shrimp."
After he finished speaking, he realized that what he said was inappropriate and glanced at me.
I tactfully handed the menu to him.
Soon, he ordered a lot.
When Yasmin heard the names of the dishes, she covered her mouth shyly.
"Leonard, you always order dishes that I like to eat, I didn't expect you still remember them all."
In just a few minutes, the dishes were served and the table was filled with dishes that I did not like to eat.
I lost my appetite instantly.
And when the last dish was served, the waiter came up with a small cake.
He said to Leonard who was sitting at the main seat, "Sir, you are our 52nd customer with a partner today. This is something we have specially given to you."
Even though Leonard and I did not have a good relationship in front of outsiders, when it came to this kind of thing, everyone thought he would hand the cake to me.
But to everyone's surprise, he naturally handed the cake to Yasmin.
"Go ahead and eat, your favorite strawberry cake."
I could feel the strange looks from people around me.
I had no choice but to endure it, then grabbed my bag and left.
"Sorry, I have to excuse myself."
Leonard did not try to persuade me.
But until I reached the door of the private room, Leonard's phone rang.
After the call was connected, he seemed to hear some news.
Immediately, he turned his head stiffly and looked at me.
His voice was trembled. "Is it true that you're going to the Syrena to participate in the implementation of the space program as said on the phone?"
Suddenly, I remembered the years when I loved Leonard most. I remembered his phone number, ID number and even the lock screen password. I knew his parents' birthdays by heart.
So, when I signed the contract to confirm my participation in the space program, I filled in Leonard's name out of inertia.
The phone call now was a reminder of the upcoming departure tomorrow.
I did not deny it, turned my head to look at him and nodded. "Yes."
Hearing this affirmation, he suddenly realized something.
He laughed. "I understand, Joanna, you are just jealous and angry, so you did this to make me regret it?"
The more he spoke, the more certain he became.
"With the love you have for me, how could you possibly be willing to leave me for three years?"
"I'm telling you, I'll never be fooled by you."
