Once I Let Go, He Fell ApartChapter 1

My best friend and I married into wealthy families on the same day.

I married Garry Huerta, the younger uncle of the Huerta Family and she married Jarvis Huerta, the nephew of Garry.

On the wedding day, my father and my best friend's father came to the wedding, but were beaten by bodyguards.

My best friend and I cried, begging Garry and Jarvis to stop it.

Garry held his first love in his arms and glared at me as he barked, “Maribel, can you be more sensible? These two old perverts sexually harassed Quinn, they deserve to be beaten to death.”

I tried my best to explain that my father and my best friend's father were not like that. There must be a misunderstanding between them.

He sneered, “That's enough. In order to go against Quinn, you even made up a lie that they are your parents. I am so disappointed in you!”

In desperation, I knelt in front of Quinn Fritz and kowtowed to apologize.

My best friend wanted to rush over to protect her father, but was held tightly by Jarvis.

Jarvis slapped her in the face and cursed, “It's all your fault that you insisted on having the wedding. That's why Quinn got wronged. This is all your fault. Go and apologize to Quinn.”

After the beating, my best friend and I immediately sent our father to the hospital, but it was too late.

A wedding destroyed my family and my best friend’s. We regret it and decided to not want to marry them.

But after we left, they caught up with us.

——

The lights in the emergency room went out and the bodies of my father and my best friend's father were pushed out.

The moment the doctor shook his head at us, my best friend and I collapsed to the ground and cried our heads off.

Several medical staff hurried past us.

“Have you heard? Mr. Garry and Mr. Jarvis of the Huerta Family offered 10 million to hire the best psychologist in the hospital to treat their first love's psychological trauma.

“It is said that the first love was harassed by two old men at the wedding.”

When I heard these words, I was stunned. My nails dug into my palms without me noticing and blood dripped down.

Quinn was the unattainable first love of both Garry and Jarvis. A woman they cherished but could never truly have.

Yet, she was also the very person responsible for the deaths of my father and my best friend’s father.

At the wedding, Quinn's loud cry for help attracted everyone's attention.
