I hissed, gripping my hair in frustration. "Damn... don't tell me she's alive ...."

I turned around, leaving the bodyguard who was now lying unconscious. I walked to the study, retrieving the documents that I had been hiding. Without thinking, I stepped into the back garden, lit a match, and threw it at the pile of papers.

Tongues of flame licked at my secret papers, destroying all evidence of my crimes. I wouldn't let anyone find this. Never.

"Dylan, what are you doing?"

The sharp voice made me turn my head. Alexa stood behind me, her face tense.

"I'm erasing the traces of my crime," I replied.

"Did you find out who was behind the news?" she asked matter-of-factly.

"Everyone is keeping their mouths shut. But I will find that person, and destroy him," I hissed.

Alexa clicked her tongue. "Do it quickly. I don't want my name involved in your rotten scandal!"

My eyes narrowed. I gripped her wrist tightly. "Stop talking like you're innocent. You told me to run him over!" I snapped.

Alexa gave me a sharp look, then laughed sarcastically. "But stupid you, Dylan, you didn't make sure she died! Now look at the consequences."

Without thinking, I delivered a slap to her face. Alexa fell silent, but the flash of anger in her eyes remained.

Before she could reply, one of my men ran over, breathless. "Mr. Dylan! There's bad news!"

"What now?!" I snapped.

He gulped. "The video of you and Ms. Alexa is all over social media and television news."

The world seemed to stop spinning. I immediately grabbed my phone, flipping through the latest news.

My blood ran cold. My body froze.

The video was real. Shit! It was all recorded!

The cell phone in my hand slid to the floor, cracking instantly.

Alexa screamed hysterically. "Asshole! How could this happen?! Everyone saw my body!"

"It's not just you, Alexa! Me too!" I roared.

Anger coursed through my blood, burning every inch of my body. I punched the wall, leaving a red stain on its surface.

"Who did all this?" I shouted.

Alexa suddenly whispered, her face filled with hatred. "It must have been Gisella. There was no one else in the room but her and your mom."

I froze. "Gisella?

No way. She's a weak woman. She's not someone who could have designed this. But, if not her, who else?

"Especially since we couldn't find her body after the accident," Alexa continued.

I took a deep breath.

"Okay. If she did it...." I grinned wickedly. "I'll lure her out of hiding."
