"Today is a good day, don't be angry, I will teach him a lesson for you, okay?"
After not seeing each other for eight years, Theo is no longer the young man he used to be.
There was a stern look in his eyes and eyebrows, and he really looked like someone in a higher position.
His attitude became even colder, and there was no trace of the intimacy he had shown me before in his eyes.
Vivienne pointed at my face and yelled at me.
"That's the beast! He dared to spit on my wedding dress! This dress is worth ten million, and it cost five million to ship it back from abroad!"
Theo finally noticed me and frowned.
"Cousin, long time no see."
"I came here today to celebrate for you on behalf of my parents—"
He waved his hand to interrupt before he finished speaking.
"Don't try to be my relative. I haven't been back to my hometown for many years."
"Also, I'm Grant now, please call me by my honorific name."
"You made my wife's wedding dress dirty? Apologize."
That one sentence made the anger that I had just suppressed surge up again.
We hadn't seen each other for eight years, so I thought he would invite me to the VIP lounge.
At least give me a cigarette.
I didn't expect that he would ask me to apologize to his wife.
I burst out laughing instantly.
"Theo, don't you forget that you also grew up in a small county? Do you look down on me? Have you forgotten who you are?"
"When you were little, you used to run around behind me naked. Now you've become so successful that you don't even recognize me as your cousin. Why didn't I see you breaking off the relationship when I accepted the gifts?"
When I mentioned my embarrassing past, Theo's face instantly turned cold.
"Shut up!"
"You don't need to remind me where I'm from. Haven't you heard that a hero is not judged by his origin? No matter what happened in the past, I am now the richest man, Theo, not your cousin!"
"I've heard that you were working outside and didn't even go home for eight years. I thought you had made it, but it turns out you were working as a courier. If I were you, I wouldn't be ashamed to go home and see people!"
He glanced at my Ford Transit Van carrying spare parts, and the sarcasm on his face was obvious.
The eight years he mentioned were the time I spent secretly training as an astronaut at the Orion Space Center, and the five years I spent floating in outer space.
