After five years of working at the Global Security Bureau (GSB), I finally had a vacation.

I was eager to get home and wanted to spend some time alone with my husband Vincent Foster.

But my husband agreed to a plan organized by his assistant Scarlett Young to go to Antarctica to climb icebergs.

Although I am afraid of the cold, I couldn't resist my husband's insistence and had to go with him.

While climbing the iceberg, Scarlett ignored my advice and accidentally fell into an ice cave.

I volunteered to go down and rescue people.

But Vincent cut my climbing rope after Scarlett was rescued.

Vincent looked down at her: "It's all your fault for cursing Scarlett. That's why she fell into the ice cave."

"Scarlett had a terrible fright, and you're going to have to pay for it."

I looked at the slippery ice walls around me.

Then he looked at Vincent who was holding Scarlett in his arms.

Look at the sneer, disdain and gloating expressed by Vincent's second-generation friends.

I finally made up my mind and pulled out my satellite phone: "Walter Foster, come over in 30 minutes to see your son one last time."

Vincent's friends were stunned at first, then burst into laughter.

"Eleanor Vance, who do you think you are? What qualifications do you have to command Mr. Foster?"

"She asked Mr. Foster to arrive in 30 minutes to see Vincent one last time?"

"Who does this woman think she is? Besides her education, what else does she have to show for it?"

"Her unreasonable behavior has upset Vincent and made him lose face. If Mr. Foster really comes, she will be the first one to go!"

Vincent looked pleased with himself after hearing these words.

He put his arm around Scarlett's waist, moved closer to the edge of the ice cave, and bent over to look down.

It was as if two supreme gods were looking down upon the ants.

Vincent's tone left no room for doubt: "Eleanor, kneel down and apologize to Scarlett now. As long as she forgives you, I will pull you up immediately!"

I gritted my teeth and asked back, "Apologize? What did I do wrong?"

"I was just giving her a friendly reminder. She fell into the ice cave because she didn't listen to my advice."

"How much shit did you eat to say such nonsense as curse?"
