"Sign it before you go." Theo's eyes were filled with rage and he bit his cheek fiercely as he took the pen.

"Serena, don't regret it!"

Theo left, with the child in his arms. Alexa hurried after, glancing at me and smile proudly.

The three of them looked so harmonious together. While me, only stood at the door for a long time, unable to recover.

I lowered my head and took the ultrasound results out of my bag, tears of grief immediately filling my eyes.

My son, you came at the wrong time. Mom couldn't give you a complete family. I hope you can choose better parent next time.

"Julian, please schedule an abortion for me."

I had the abortion without telling Theo.

During my hospital stay, Theo and I didn't communicate at all.

Alexa's post on social media were filled with everyday moments with Theo and Elio. Without me, they became a true family.

[A man who can't cook is not a good husband.]

The photo showed his silhouette from behind and I recognized him immediately.

In our five years of marriage, Theo had never even been in the kitchen, or cooked. But now, he suddenly had time to cook for his wife and children.

It turned out he'd been so busy for five years that he hadn't had any time at all and all he had was me.

The irony of this scene stunned me.

As I watched the picture, I suddenly burst out laughing. Then, I made an online appointment to register the divorce at the City Hall.

Then, Theo called.

After a moment's hesitation, I finally answered.

"Serena, I've sent the cat away. Come back now."

I took a breath, a dull ache throbbing in my lower abdomen.

"Theo, I don’t want to argue now, but we really can't go on like this."

With that, I hung up.

The next day, I took a taxi to the company and handed my resignation letter to the HR manager.

But he looked at me awkwardly. "Serena, I really don't agree. You should ask President Theo about this."

I hated causing trouble.

I walked to Theo's office with my resignation letter. Even before I entered, I heard laughter from inside.

"Theo! Why are you like this?"

Through the frosted glass, I saw the happy family of three. After taking a deep breath, I pushed open the office door.

"Sir, please sign this."

Theo's previously gentle expression turned grim as he stared intently at the resignation letter.

"Are you leaving your marriage and your job? I thought you were mature, but it seems you lack the common sense to assess the situation."
